How-to: One-Answer Shortcut and Command Questions (Figma, Git, Vim…)

Each page answers one question in its first paragraph, shows the exact key or command from the corresponding reference table, and lists the rest of that table's category for context. They exist because a single row inside a 60-row table is hard to find and hard to cite; a page that is about one question is easier for both people and AI assistants to use.

What a how-to answer contains

Each how-to page answers one question — the question people actually type into a search box — with the shortcut or command, a paragraph on what it does and the variants that matter, and the related rows from the tool's reference so the neighbouring shortcuts are one scroll away. Below that, the notes cover the mistakes that follow from the shortcut, the alternatives, and where it does not work.

How questions are chosen

Questions are added from the ones that bring people to the tool pages: the search terms that lead to a shortcut table are the how-to titles. Each answer is verified against the tool's documentation and links back to the full reference, so a how-to page is an entry point rather than a substitute for the table.
